Start with the coast, not the clubs

Going Goa is a first-timer field guide for 3 to 7 days: pick North or South, a pace, a stay vibe, then book.

Four honest starting points

Most first trips fail by trying to see both coasts every day. Pick one path and finish it.

North Goa

Busy beaches, nightlife, and short hops between Baga, Calangute, Anjuna.

South Goa

Quieter bays, longer sand, slower evenings around Palolem and Agonda.

3-day plan

One coast, two beach days, one inland or history half-day. No rushing.

5-day plan

Split coasts or dig deeper: markets, spice farm, and a full water day.

North vs South

Two Goas. Choose before you land.

North packs shacks, flea markets, and late nights within scooter range. South trades density for longer beaches and quieter sundowns. Mixing both in three days burns the trip.

Where to stay by vibe

Base near the nights you want. Scooters make mid-coast hops easy; late-night rides from Palolem to Baga do not.
